A loose deadline invites polishing, coordination, and extra scope. A timebox can sharpen decisions, but it cannot make irreducible research or safety work disappear.
Design activities often grow without a clear stop condition. Thoughtful constraints can produce learning sooner; arbitrary compression can simply transfer risk to users and workers.
