Paid Research Survey Hub

Design a participant dashboard for finding legitimate surveys, understanding data use, and tracking compensation.

Responsive web, Mobile

The brief

Understand the problem

Background

Businesses recruit participants for surveys, but unclear eligibility checks, sensitive questions, low-quality sponsors, and delayed payment can make the process exploitative.

User context

Asha wants occasional paid research that fits her schedule. She wants to see expected time, compensation, sponsor identity, and requested data before screening.

Product problem

Participants need informed consent and predictable compensation while researchers need legitimate eligibility checks and reliable completion data.

Objective

Design survey discovery, consent, completion, and payment tracking for a vetted research marketplace.

What to design

Define the experience

Required experience

  • Browse studies by time, topic, format, and reward
  • Review sponsor, eligibility, data use, and withdrawal terms
  • Complete a screener and eligible survey
  • Track review and payment status

Screens and states

  • Study dashboard
  • Study and consent detail
  • Survey workspace
  • Reward status

Core user flow

Follow the critical path

  1. 01

Asha filters for studies under twenty minutes

  2. 02

She reviews a retailer's data and compensation terms

  3. 03

She completes a short screener and qualifies

  4. 04

After submission she tracks review and receives payment

Product rules

Requirements and constraints

Requirements

  • Show total expected time, reward, payment method, sponsor, and data categories before screening
  • Explain whether screener answers are retained when someone is ineligible
  • Preserve progress for allowed surveys
  • Provide rejection reasons and compensation dispute support

Constraints

  • Sensitive data requests require additional justification and consent
  • Sponsors cannot charge participants
  • Disqualification rules cannot change after completion

Reality check

States worth considering

A participant becomes ineligible mid-survey
The study closes while open
A quality check is disputed
A payment method is unavailable by region

Finish line

What to deliver

  • Four responsive screens covering consent through reward resolution

Optional direction

Visual resources

Use these as a starting constraint if you want one. They are not part of the required solution.
